Dr Umut Durak

Is the Group Leader for Assured Embedded Systems in the Institute of Flight Systems at the German Aerospace Center (DLR). He is also a Professor for Aeronautical Informatics in the Informatics Institute at the Clausthal University of Technology. His research interests concentrate on modelling and simulation-based approaches for airborne systems. He has published 4 books and more than 80 papers in various conference proceedings and journals. He is the Vice President for Education at the Society for Computer Simulation International (SCS), Speaker of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Simulation (ASIM) Section – Basic Principles and Methods in Simulation (GMMS) and an associate fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).
